Hainan, the only tropical island province in China, has a coastline of over 1900 kilometers that stretches out with beautiful coastal scenery. The warm sunshine nurtures abundant resources and provides a suitable environment for the development of photovoltaics. The photovoltaic industry in Hainan has unique advantages. On the one hand, Hainan's energy supply mainly relies on external transfers, and the contribution of local renewable energy is limited. On the other hand, most areas in Hainan province have sunshine hours of over 2000 hours, indicating abundant solar energy resources. At the same time, Hainan Province vigorously advocates the development of distributed photovoltaic power stations and proposes to actively carry out various forms and scenarios of distributed photovoltaic power generation applications. All of these provide enormous development prospects for the photovoltaic industry in Hainan. The water supply plant in Wanning, Hainan actively responded to the call and built a total of about 20MW photovoltaic power stations, all using products from Guriwatt. This power station, embraced by mountains and reservoirs, is one of them. The photovoltaic power station is located on the top of Juntian Mountain in Wanning, with a total capacity of about 2.2MW, using a total of 20 units of Guruiwatt MAX and MAC inverter models. The water plant extracts water from nearby reservoirs, filters it, and then delivers clean and usable tap water to local villagers. The annual electricity consumption of the water plant is high, and using photovoltaics to provide power support for the water plant can save about 2.8 million yuan in electricity bills per year. The photovoltaic power station is tailored to local conditions, with photovoltaic panels installed on both the roof and ground of the water plant. To achieve maximum system efficiency, the project adopts the Gurewat series inverter solution. The inverter adopts a multi-channel MPPT design to effectively cope with string mismatch caused by inconsistent roof orientation or local obstruction in the project. The maximum efficiency of the inverter can reach 99%, allowing every ray of sunlight to be efficiently utilized and maximizing the system's power generation. The inverter also has an intelligent one click diagnostic function, which makes the later operation and maintenance of the power station time-saving and labor-saving, saving customers operation and maintenance costs. The wonderful reaction generated by the water plant and photovoltaic is unfolding a novel energy journey in Hainan.
